Show Review: Anna Francesca Spring 2014

Show Review: Anna Francesca Spring 2014

This week NYC-based designer Anna Francesca showcased her Spring/Summer 2014 collection “Holy Grail” during Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week.  Fashion notables we spotted in attendance included Jennifer Williams, Porsha Stewart, Debra Lee, Jamie Foster Brown, Amanda Seales, and Melyssa Ford.

As the dark beat of the music began, the show opened with a Gold Embroidered Lace Cami Maxi Dress uplifted by a dramatic, flowing veil.  Anna enjoyed playing with various colors and fabrics, with textiles consisting of lace, organza, mermaid tulle, and sequins.  The beautifully detailed collection was true to the house’s ‘Victorian romance meets rock-and-roll’ roots, with several looks on the runway featuring floral appliques, feathers, and crystals along with regal neutrals, gold, ivory, and splashes of cotton candy pink and nectar.  My favorite look of the evening was the Nude Strapless Fringe Bandeau paired with a Neopolitan Fringe Skirt and Cotton Candy Tulle.

The mood of old Hollywood glamour was present through another exciting runway experience brought to us by Anna Francesca.  Check out more of the designer’s S/S 2014 offerings in the gallery below and contact celebrity wardrobe stylist Arzo Anwar of Blend Showroom with inquiries or to place an order.
