Pantene Truly Relaxed Hair: Review

Black & White Tribal Print Dress

Blogalicious Party

Between a hectic work schedule at the hospital, mom duties, wife duties, attending events, and keeping up with all things social media (whew! out of breath) maintaining a beauty regimen sometimes slips to the end of my “To Do” list.  That’s why I try to make it a priority to at the very least put on a touch of lip gloss each day, keep my nails polished and, of course, keep my hair looking right.  Nothing makes me feel better about myself than freshly washed hair that bounces when I walk.  Even without a stitch of makeup I feel pretty and confident when I’m having a good hair day.

If I had my way, I’d be in a stylist’s chair every weekend. But of course, time doesn’t always permit that, so I usually end up washing my own hair at home.  It isn’t ideal but gets the job done. When the folks at Glam Media sent me Pantene ‘Truly Relaxed Hair’ Intense Moisturizing Shampoo, Moisturizing Conditioner, and Oil Creme Moisturizer with Coconut and Jojoba Oils – each designed to help restore moisture to relaxed hair without unwanted weight – I was kind of amped to check them out. I’ve been using the same hair products for a while now, but have a red carpet event coming up and wanted to add a little something special to my normal regimen.

Features

  • Provides gentle cleansing to relaxed hair with protection against dryness and breakage
  • Strengthens hair against damage that takes place during the relaxing process
  • Intensely moisturizes hair from root to tip and protects against dryness and breakage
  • Helps to reinforce each strand for resilience against future damage

My Thoughts

All three products smells really yummy, which I’m sure is due to the coconut and jojoba oils.  I lathered up with the shampoo and rinsed twice before applying my conditioner. The condish is so thick and creamy that a little bit goes a long way (which makes it very cost-efficient)!  I’ll admit that I was a little hesitant to try this, as I’ve favored Dominican products for the last 10 years… but I quickly realized that there’s lots of other good, quality stuff out there!   I’m so in love with how soft and silky these products made my hair feel.  Even my husband commented on the difference, and this is a guy who didn’t immediately notice when I trimmed three inches off my hair a couple months back. 🙂
