Miss Piggy for InStyle Magazine

Miss Piggy for InStyle Magazine

Miss Piggy front row at the fall 2010 Michael Kors show as  editor of French Vogue for her new movie. Love that Chanel classic mini!

Hollywood just can’t get enough of her these days! I just received word in my inbox that Miss Piggy now has a fashion feature in the November 2011 issue of InStyle Magazine! It’s an 8-page spread with amazing photographs and hilarious fashion tips!  This isn’t the first time Miss Piggy’s been in designer threads, of course. She’s worn custom creations by the likes of Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Mui Mui, and more.  What can I say? The girl loves her labels!

With her newest flick “The Muppets” in theatres just a little over a month away, I thought now was the perfect time to do a fashion roundup of Miss Piggy’s various couture looks through the years!

Miss Piggy poses with Marc Jacobs in a custom-made black Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 cap sleeved dress embellished with jeweled stones, plus her signature elbow length gloves to complete the look.  She visited Marc Jacobs at his Spring Street showroom in SoHo, New York City and the pair went over looks for her to wear to that year’s FNO.

Miss Piggy with R&B singer Neyo during the 11th Annual Macy’s Glamorama event.  She’s wearing another Marc Jacobs number that she helped pick out when she visited his showroom.

Miss Piggy in Jason Wu for the November 2011 issue of InStyle Magazine. On this look, Jason Wu stated, “Her humor, flamboyance and joie de vivre inspired me to design a decadent feathered dress that features her most sensational qualities.”

I loved when Miss Piggy went Geisha-style in this silk, custom-made kimono also by Jason Wu.  Aside from Lady Obama, how many of us can claim we’ve had Jason Wu design just for us?

This Burberry quilted gold trench coat and short, layered brunette wig is a different look for Miss Piggy – racy and mysterious! Very “strangers-in-the-bar” to meet her boo Kermit for date night, no?

Miss Piggy pretty in Giles Brothers for InStyle Mag.

Miss Piggy was the picture of femininity in this delicate Lela Rose number that she wore to the 2005 Emmys.

Miss Piggy sat front row at the Julien MacDonald show for London Fashion Week.  Of course, she was wearing the designer.

Miss Piggy in Suno for the November 2011 issue of InStyle Magazine.

Jeremy Scott was the first designer to dress the diva and she has even referred to him as her favorite designer. Incidentally, she sat front row in his show that year.

I think she looks fabulous in these Brian Atwood platform pumps!

Miss Piggy in Prabal Gurung for the November issue of InStyle Magazine.  “I didn’t want to dress Miss Piggy in anything that would take away from her bold personality so I went with a simple, classic dress and neutral color,” Gurung told WWD. “The Empire waist really complements her figure.”

Says Miss Piggy in the InStyle feature, “Style is about expressing your inner self, capturing your personal ethos and, most importantly, spending someone else’s money.”

“The Muppets” opens in theaters everywhere on November 23rd.
